At last, another update.

My sincerist apologies for waiting so long to post; however, I’m here now to introduce you to another poem. I’m going to start putting my poems on my main page; that makes it simpler for people to find them. This poem’s a free verse poem; it’s a little different but I hope it’s worthy of your time.

The Black Widow Spider

What have I to say to thee?

Except that you carry;

An essence of power and strength.

I see you peer at me from your home.

Your web; a labyrinth of silk that you;

With wit and scheme; created yourself.

Your body is a zealous black dye;

An obsidian stone cut into a sphere;

That bleeds red underneath in the shape of an hourglass.

I’m aware that time is running short.

I must make haste to catch you in my grasp.

Your legs dangle as you climb down to me.

Eight of them, flowing from your body like a dark chandelier.

You stand on my hand now.

Oh! Your feather touch fiddles the pleasure nerves of my flesh.

Making them tingle and bringing in a new sense of being.

Then you pricked me.

Was it a kiss perhaps?

What new sensation is this?

I cringe as you find your way back to the web

Watching silently as your venom corrodes my veins

Blackening them till they’re hard like you.

What have I to say to thee?

Nothing at all; not even in death.

I suppose the Black Widow Spider was temptation.

A sin that a person should never give into.

  1. Really very powerful poem and so finely expressed.

  2. “Your body is a zealous black dye;

    Wow. Such a glorious construction of words. You form a picture that elevates a well known idea into a thing of mystery and intrigue. Brilliant
