Path of Love

Path of Love

 Oh, my precious little one

You sparkle like the morning sun

Here you are – already grown

You will begin to travel the path alone

The road of life will twist and wind

Along the way some pain you’ll find

But as you go, always know

The path may lead you far away

But in my heart – you’re there to stay

Home will be here my special one

Keeping you warm like the morning sun.

  1. What a sweet and warm gift from your mom…it must be very comforting to you! One can really feel the essence of what watching her baby grow into a young woman means to her…

    • Thank you. It’s very comforting and I love my mother very much.

  2. Wonderful, sweet poem that your mother wrote for you. I really liked it a lot! I have 3 children and they each have at least two or three poems that I’ve written for them. (The 2 girls have the most, lol.) God bless, Teresa

    • Thank you!!

  3. Written as only a mother can to a beloved son who has become a man.
It is a spectacularly loving poem. You are lucky your mothers’ love is very strong! I see where your gift for poetry came from. It is just beautiful.willow

    • Thanks, and I am very lucky to have my mother love me so much.
